Philadelphia Film Critics Circle 2019 Winners
Most major cities have a Film Association which lends weight to the movies out during Awards Season. Philly didn't have one up until 3 years ago when Critics Rich Heimlich and Stephen Silver decided it was time for Philadelphia (a movie town) to weigh in, establishing the Philadelphia Film Critics Circle (PFCC).

Barrymore Highlights The 25th Annual Barrymore Awards were held in South Phillyand awarded $92,000 in grants to artists and organizations. The 2019 ceremony included a new Outstanding Outdoor Theatre Production category, and a new trophy designed by Sharif Pendleton, Philadelphia Laser & Industrial Design. Tinsel & Tine Highlight’s – One Woman – Two Angels Play By Le Anne Lindsay, Editor On Thursday (Sept 19th) I got a chance to venture out to the Bristol Riverside theater to see AN ACT OF GOD (A New Comedy) by David Javerbaum, starring KIM WAYANS as GOD. The stage play is adapted from Javerbaum’s “The Last Testament: A Memoir By God”, which started as a series of tweets. Although “God” has two angels Archangel Michael (Benjamin Brown) and Archangel Gabriel (Peter DeLaurier) to play off during the piece, it’s essentially a One Person play.
