    #MiniTheaterReview Bristol Riverside production: CABARET

    March 15, 2020 /

Post Update 2.18.21: Bristol Riverside Theatre Production of Cabaret was my last outing of 2020 before COV1D-19 Pandemic hit and last time I saw Cynthia in person.

    PTC: EVERYTHING IS WONDERFUL

    February 21, 2020 /

The playwright does a smart and successful job of discussing forgiveness as both a true place of healing, and a way of just covering up the past. The play also examines both the saving grace, and terrible hypocrisy of faith, in a way that's meaningful, but not offensive. Obviously PTC scheduled it at the right time, as we're coming up on Ash Wednesday and the Lenten Season.

Philly Spotlight: Theatre Exile’s Who’s Afraif of Virginia Woolf?

    April 23, 2015 /

Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? Theatre Exile Review By Tinsel & Tine Editor – Le Anne Lindsay lf to right: Henrik Eger, PhD, Catharine Slusar, Pearce Bunting, Jake Blouch, Emilie Krause I was invited to the opening night of Theatre Exile’s production of the classic Edward Albee play WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF? directed by the theater’s Founding Artistic Director Joe Canuso. After the performance, I spoke briefly with Theatre Exile’s Producing Artistic Director, Deborah Block who told me that playwright Edward Albee rarely allows the play to be remounted, that they were probably going to have to accept a no go, when Rick Gross, a loyal patron of the…

Tinsel & Tine’s Coverage of the 23rd Philadelphia Film Festival (#PFF23) Part 1

    November 2, 2014 /

Once the Movie vs Once the Musical

    November 1, 2013 /

Tinsel & Tine at “Once” the Musical Opening Night Once, winner of eight Tony Awards including Best Musical and winner of the 2013 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, kicked off the Broadway Philadelphia season at the Academy of Music, and I got to see it opening night! I wanted to do an in-depth comparison of the film vs. the Broadway show and had planned to stream the movie Once before opening night, as I hadn’t seen this charming little film since it was in theaters way back in 2007.  That was the plan, however, I was running around doing the Philadelphia Film Festival, started a new job that’s…
