Philadelphia Film Critics Circle 2020 Winners
During the film industry's Awards Season every city's Film Critics Association nominates and votes on Best of films categories similar to the Oscars. Studios, PR Firms , Producers etc. actually care, they ply us with screeners and swag leading up to the vote, care about what date we hold our vote, and many followed our live announcements on Twitter. So it's kinda fun being a big deal 😁

Commentary – Le Anne Lindsay, Editor #MovieNews Of course I wanna go back to seeing movies in the theaters, but what about the air conditioning, #COVID19 possibly circulating in the reconstituted air? As a member of The Philadelphia Film Critics Circle, we were asked if we would be willing to head back to the theaters for preview screenings if it was only critics attending. At first I said yes, as there would only be like 10-12 of us and we could each take a row. Philadelphia Film Critics Circle 2019 Winners
Most major cities have a Film Association which lends weight to the movies out during Awards Season. Philly didn't have one up until 3 years ago when Critics Rich Heimlich and Stephen Silver decided it was time for Philadelphia (a movie town) to weigh in, establishing the Philadelphia Film Critics Circle (PFCC).
