Much todo about hot dogs: Hyde Park on Hudson

    December 13, 2012 /

How could anyone seduce the President of the United States wearing oxfords, long printed frocks and spinster cardigan sweaters? November 3, 2012 /

This is Part II of Tinsel & Tine’s 21st Philadelphia Film Festival Recap &  Reviews. Hope you had or will have a chance to check out Part I. This year, a nice addition to the going’s on, was the VIP Bar located at 110 Chestnut Street. Hotel Monaco Looks Exciting!

    October 21, 2012 /

While making my way to Ritz East during the 21st Philadelphia Film Festival. (my film fest posts aren’t up yet, but be sure to follow my @phillyfilmfest tweets) I was suddenly struck by the tantalizing sight of a new boutique hotel and dining establishments. I can’t even recall what used to be on the corner of 5th & Chestnut? But now it’s the Hotel Monaco featuring The Red Owl Tavern and Stratus Rooftop, and I can’t wait to be up in both! The line for the rooftop was insane last night! Here’s a rundown tweeted earlier this month from uwishunu:  The opening of The Hotel Monaco Philadelphia on Independence Mall is…

    Comcast Market GPFO PhillyPitch Contestants

    October 9, 2012 /

On Saturday, September 29, 2012 The Greater Philadelphia Film Office (GPFO) held auditions for PhillyPitch!  At The Market & Shops at Comcast Center. The actual PhillyPitch takes place on October 25th during the 21st Annual Philadelphia Film Festival. In a nutshell, 8 aspiring screenplay writers will have a chance to give a run down on their screenplay (pitch) in front of a panel of judges who are truly in the movie business and have the ability to take your screenplay to the next level. But first these writers/filmmakers had to audition for a spot in front of a panel consisting of GPFO notables: Joan Bressler, Director of Greater Philadelphia Filmmakers;…
