    Sullivan’s Steakhouse 3 Course Bourbon Dinner

    By Le Anne Lindsay, Tinsel & Tine Editor ORIGINALLY POSTED April 12, 2019 –  I got to partake of SULLIVAN’S 3 Course BOURBON TASTING DINNER earlier this month at the King of Prussia location. Featuring a Tasting Flight:  MAKER’S MARK 46 – This was my favorite, it was closer to a sweeter tasting Irish Whiskey, which has become my grain liqueur of choice, replacing Scotch, after my trip to Ireland last spring. But that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate a good bourbon too.     Magpie is an artisan pie shop that opened this past August at 1622 South Street. This area of South Street has really gentrified, I’ve been dying to also visit The Cambridge , Pumpkin, and Rex 1516 . Holly Owner (former Graphic Designer) Holly Ricciardi says she decided to open Magpie in this city because we need it. “I love Philly,” says Ricciardi. “It’s wonderful. It’s a big foodie town.     Philly Dining Tid”bite”- Charles Plaza

    Friday night had dinner in Chinatown with friends who chose Charles Plaza as our Asian culinary destination. Not much in terms of decor, but the servers and owner – very attentive. The restaurant specializes in vegetarian Chinese cuisine and the dishes are prepared without MSG or heavy sauces. For instance the sesame noodles have just a light coating. Of course, personally, I like a heavy, sticky, fattening peanut butter Thai sauce, but it’s nice to now and again enjoy something without the guilt. Steamed Chicken Dumplings: Good density and flavor – 3 Tines. Fish of the day: Never has Tilapia been so satisfying! Crunchy, meaty and smothered in garlic sauce…
