Uncle Bob: THE INTERN
by Le Anne Lindsay, Editor I really hope this movie THE INTERN encourages more mixing of the generations in the workplace. Last year a temp agency sent me on a job interview at a tech/web company; I think when sent by an agency the company hiring doesn’t really have all the details of who you are – so when the young interviewer came to greet me in the reception area, I saw a noticeable look of dismissal on his face, the moment he laid eyes on me. You could see he saw over 40, and was like, not happening. Being black and female didn’t help either. Of course he had…

Suddenly Schumer: TRAINWRECK
T&T’s Look at Trainwreck Starring & Written by Comedian Amy Schumer By Tinsel & Tine Editor, Le Anne Lindsay About 6 months ago I heard my sister cracking up and figured she was watching Comedy Central – which when the day that Comcast is finally forced to allow us the ability to pick and choose channels, CC will be one of her 10, although, without Jon Stewart on the Daily Show, it will no longer be her top choice. A Taste of: ALEXANDER and the Terrible, Horrible, NO GOOD, VERY BAD DAY
I was going to skip seeing Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, thinking I wasn’t in the mood for a tween type flick. But after seeing the trailer several times, I had to admit the energy seemed crazy and fast paced, so I was curious to see if it lived up to the hype – it did, but not as I’d anticipated. The pacing is good (Directed by Miguel Arteta / Screenplay by Rob Lieber), but it’s not really a zany movie – even though, a series of No Good, Very Bad things do happen to the Cooper family, on one, incredibly long, very full day.…

“Take Back The Rom-Com” – OBVIOUS CHILD
T&T Note: I did screen Obvious Child and thought, it’s hard not to like a movie that features a lovable screw-up, that’s unabashedly human and absurdly honest. But I also had so many posts to write this week that I was relieved when a fellow blogger asked if she could guest post and write a review on this movie – Le Anne Lindsay, Editor Obvious Child Boards The Female – Centric Comedy Train By Guest Blogger – Elizabeth Eckhart Obvious Child is the most recent film to jump on board the female-centric comedy train – and we’re more than glad it did. The film, which is the most recent addition to…

Trifecta: THE OTHER WOMAN
Can I tell you the movie is more than what you see in the trailers? No, not really, it's a pretty predictable ride, but it's a good ride all the same. I am glad that the writer, Melissa K. Stack, does not have the two women bond too quickly.
