Food in Film: CHEF
Jon Favreau's (writer, director, lead) succulent new film Chef this one's on my front burner. I've gotten a chance to see it twice already! What's great is, the second screening proved to me I really do love the film on its own merit, and not because it's a foodie movie, or because I took a day off from work to see the first screening, or because it features Food Trucks and Social Media, two things I'm in to. No, it's because Favreau understands good scenes. Good scenes with fun actors...

Cut Print Film: GODZILLA
I got to virtually meet a fellow Philly film writer this week! Jeff Rollins of the awesome site Cut Print Film, their site design is so contemporary, it really make me want to redesign T&T. We got to talking and decided it would be cool to do a cross promotion of each others sites. CPF did a fantastic job of promoting my Belle post and I’m super happy to post their Godzilla review! I’ve always been drawn to the British Aristocracy and fancy the idea of living in a sprawling country estate. I began reading historical Harlequin Romance novels about the age of 11 or 12 and absolutely loved all the etiquette, intrigue, wealth, entertaining and most importantly, no one worked.…

Philly Restaurant: Fitler Dining Room
Photo: Foobooz Yes, it’s true, I do love comfort food and diners and Harrahs Casino buffet, but that doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate upscale, trendy dining and I know those two adjectives = $$$. I also know you shouldn’t just walk up on a small, boutique type dining establishment when you’re looking to just catch a bite to eat; these types of restaurants are for a dining experience of at least two courses. However, because we wanted to dine alfresco and happened to be in the vicinity of Filter Dining Room (owned by Pub & Kitchen’s Dan Clark & Ed Hackett) and saw open tables outside, we decided to stop…
