Throwing Produce is a Foodie Moment: Kevin Hart interview – RIDE ALONG

    January 15, 2014 /

by Le Anne Lindsay, Editor This was my first opportunity to come face to face with Philly’s own Kevin Hart! Ride Along is directed by Tim Story (Barber Shop, Think Like A Man) it’s about a security guard, Ben (Kevin Hart) who’s in love with a really cute sistah (Tika Sumpter) and sister to police detective James Payton (Ice Cube). Payton thinks his sister could do much, much better than Ben, even though Ben just got his acceptance letter to join the police academy.  This fact does give Payton the idea of…

What A: RUSH (Directed by Ron Howard)

    September 27, 2013 /

I had every real intention of being a race car driver when I grew up.  For my 6th birthday, I got the cutest yellow race car, the kind you can sit in and drive. Today it would have been electrically powered, but back then it had foot pedals.  Then as I got older, each Christmas, I would ask for a bigger and better race track. Before drifting off to sleep, I’d imagine the controls in my hand and how great it was going to be to speed around that track and beat my sister. At the arcade, I cared not a wit for Pacman or Donkey Kong, I went…

FREE SCREENING PASSES (Philly) And Mini Review – DON JON

    September 19, 2013 /

Post Update 9/22 – Sorry, all the passes have been taken. Be sure to like our facebook page, or follow on twitter or pinterest, so you’ll be the first to know next time Tinsel & Tine has giveaways! What drew me to this film, Don Jon (click for trailer) was the fact that it was written and directed by Joseph Gordon-Levitt! But when I mentioned this to 2 friends, both of which watch a fair amount of movies, they said, “Who?” I find that strange, since he’s been a staple actor for me since playing an alien in the TV show 3rd Rock from the Sun. But I would think…
