Movie Blog Post: MOTHER’S DAY! Garry Marshall Ensem Rom/Com

    May 7, 2016 /

Tinsel & Tine’s Look at MOTHER’S DAY MOVIE   By Editor, Le Anne Lindsay I am very grateful to have a mother and an aunt that’s like a mother, both alive and in relatively good health for women in their late seventies. I love them and do want to spend time with them, but I’m just over holidays completely. No offense to anyone, I just hate having to stop and think – Oh, that’s right, the next holiday is upon us, Do I have to buy a gift? What are we doing, eating out or eating in? Either option comes with it too much organizing and too much expense. Director Garry…

    Spotlight on: SPOTLIGHT MOVIE

    November 24, 2015 /

Spotlight Movie Journalism At Its Best By Tinsel & Tine Editor, Le Anne Lindsay I’m trying to recall what I felt January of 2002 when the story broke about the Sexual Abuse Scandal of the Catholic Church. I seem to recall not being very surprised. The idea that hundreds of priests not only molested and defiled thousands of children who trusted them, but that the Catholic Church right up to the Vatican would cover it all up for decades, should have seemed unbelievable; but I remember just thinking, I’m glad this has finally come to light. Not that I had any first, second or third hand knowledge of any of…

    Food in Film: CHEF

    May 16, 2014 /

Jon Favreau's (writer, director, lead) succulent new film Chef  this one's on my front burner. I've gotten a chance to see it twice already! What's great is, the second screening proved to me I really do love the film on its own merit, and not because it's a foodie movie, or because I took a day off from work to see the first screening, or because it features Food Trucks and Social Media, two things I'm in to.  No, it's because Favreau understands good scenes. Good scenes with fun actors...

Flood the Drummer Interview: MARLON WAYANS – A Haunted House 2

    April 8, 2014 /

Marlon Wayans “Desperate for Laughs”  in A Haunted House 2  For Marlon Wayans, it’s all jokes. He’s not trying to change the world, just your mood.  A Chat with Funny Man – @MarlonWayans – A Haunted House 2 http://t.co/RIS2bLIUdO #BlogHerTalks — Tinsel & Tine (@tinseltine) April 13, 2014  By Tinsel & Tine Blog Contributor: Christopher “Flood the Drummer®” Norris “All the Wayans have a certain flavor of comedy,” Marlon tells me, citing his blend as “a spicy crispy” that may “burn your mouth.” Marlon’s older sister Kim calls him “desperate” and he, without argument, would agree. “I will go to wild places to make people laugh. I don’t give a fuck;…
