    LOOKING FOR A FOOD CONTRIBUTOR

    January 14, 2022 /

Keeping a website going takes more dedication, time, effort and expense than anyone who hasn't done it could probably imagine.  It's a real labor of love.  So I figure there's someone out there who'd like to feature their recipes, dining experiences, has always wanted to interview chefs or feature informative news items on eating and food related matters, but doesn't want the responsibility of running a site full-time...

    July 31, 2013 /

    Are You Coming? Philly Beergasm!

    March 7, 2013 /

April 3, 2013 POST UPDATE To see photos and a brief recap of the event visit Tinsel & Tine’s facebook page   I just bought my ticket! Normally, I wait to see if I can get a press pass for an event like this, especially since I’m a member of Collaborate Philly, a co-sponsor of Philly Beergasm.  But it’s for a good cause, proceeds benefit local charity Philabundance (hunger relief organization, providing emergency food and access to services to approximately 900,000 people at risk of hunger and malnutrition throughout the Delaware Valley and beyond.) What is Philly Beergasm? Philly Beergasm will be a true love letter to local beer culture.…

    Philly Dining: MAGPIE

    December 4, 2012 /

Magpie is an artisan pie shop that opened this past August at 1622 South Street. This area of South Street has really gentrified, I’ve been dying to also visit The Cambridge , Pumpkin, and Rex 1516 . Holly Owner (former Graphic Designer) Holly Ricciardi says she decided to open Magpie in this city because we need it. “I love Philly,” says Ricciardi. “It’s wonderful. It’s a big foodie town. I thought if I’m going to do this, I want to open it up in the city because city life is a little rough and people need a little country in their lives to feel comfort and love.” – READ MORE…
