Sullivan’s Steakhouse 3 Course Bourbon Dinner
By Le Anne Lindsay, Tinsel & Tine Editor ORIGINALLY POSTED April 12, 2019 – I got to partake of SULLIVAN’S 3 Course BOURBON TASTING DINNER earlier this month at the King of Prussia location. Featuring a Tasting Flight: MAKER’S MARK 46 – This was my favorite, it was closer to a sweeter tasting Irish Whiskey, which has become my grain liqueur of choice, replacing Scotch, after my trip to Ireland last spring. But that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate a good bourbon too. BASIL HAYDEN’S KNOB CREEK RYE Along with two Bourbon Cocktails: Brown Derby – Jim Beam, St-Germain Elder-flower Liqueur, Fresh Grapefruit Juice, Fresh Lemon Juice and Monin Honey…

Tinsel & Tine’s Look at ARIANA AFGHAN CUISINE By Le Anne Lindsay, Editor Have you ever tried Afghan Cuisine? I hadn’t until last week when I got invited to a Media Event for a restaurant in Old City Philadelphia called Ariana Afghan Cuisine (134 Chestnut Street, cross st. closer to 2nd than Front), it’s run by female proprietor, Beheshta Hashmi, and believe it or not, it’s been there for 19 years! Over the Bridge to Brunch We Go: Grand Lux Cafe By Tinsel & Tine Editor Le Anne Lindsay If you’re aware of the fact that Grand Lux Cafe is a sister restaurant to my home away from home Cheesecake Factory, then you can imagine there would be A LOT to talk about in trying to profile a restaurant with so much to offer (See MENU). So I’m only gonna draw attention to Grand Lux Cafe’s comfort food Saturday & Sunday Brunch! Particularly as March 25th is NATIONAL WAFFLE DAY! and Fried Chicken and Waffles Topped with Crispy Fried Chicken Strips and Pecan Honey-Butter Sauce is GLC’s most popular brunch item. …

Philly Dining: LUNA CAFE Interview with Proprietor Sarah Levine
by Le Anne Lindsay, Editor One of the pleasures of running Tinsel & Tine is when I get to work from coffee shops… I just love to find a cute, cozy one and create a little office for a couple of hours. There’s something about having the energy of others around me, but not involved, that creates a pleasant work atmosphere. But when a coffee shop is actually a little cafe, I’m in heaven! Although in this case, I didn’t discover this week’s Philly Spotlight, Sarah Levine of Luna Cafe (317 Market Street Philadelphia 19106), she discovered me, on Instagram, and invited me for a tasting! Soon as I saw…
