The 71st Annual Golden Globes Round Up 2014

Post Update 1/13/2014

Thank you to those who joined me on facebook, twitter, google+, pinterest and the newly discovered zeebox last night!

Here’s some highlights from my running commentary:

 ORIGINAL POST – Party Invite

What should I fill this basket with Jan 12th?

I’m thinking a virtual party may be the best way to throw a party!  No invites, no noshows, no cleaning up, no wondering if you’re going to run out of liqueur or food, no need to put a new LBD (little black dress) on your already overloaded credit card bill.

Tinsel & Tine will be having an online social media party during the 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards – Sun. January 12, 2014. Follow me on facbook, twitter, pinterest or google+ and chime in on my comments during the red carpet and awards show.

As Tinsel & Tine (Reel & Dine) is about Film & Food – I like to feature the meal I’m having while posting, twitting and remarking on the red carpet and broadcast.

Last year, this was my 70th Golden Globe spread from Trader Joe’s – My carpet was blue, but you get the picture.

Would love it if a Philly Restaurant was willing to provide Tinsel & Tine a Golden Globe Food & Film Social Media Party Picnic (for 1) – in exchange for being prominently featured on T&T and all our social media platforms the days leading up to and during the festivities!

Dallas Buyers Club: I know I hate to see the 30th loom up on the calendar, because it’s time to pay rent and a host of other misc and sundry bills, but can you imagine looking at the calendar in terms of the end of your time here on earth? Of course, at least debt would be the last thing on your mind at that point. I’d expect somebody like Ron Woodruff, a rather sordid kinda guy, to just let the illness or his destructive life choices, whichever got to him first, just take him out; and he does contemplate suicide, but then he decides to fight. You see Woodruff at the library doing AIDS treatment research; he’s got a little cash set aside, so he bribes a hospital worker to get him the latest clinical AIDS trial drug; when that goes south, he goes south of the border to Mexico to look for drugs there… READ MORE
