Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom

It’s really a shame, but so many of the Oscar nominated movies I never get around to writing about because the demand to watch all the contending movies before the Philadelphia Film Critic Circle Vote takes place, gets intense! So if I have free time I feel like I need to screen something rather than post about what I’ve already watched.
This is what happened to Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.
But I’d like to take a moment to congratulate the movie:
