Fighting with My Family

A feel good, family dramedy, with excellent beats. You don’t have to be a wrestling fan to fall in love with Paige and her crazy, exuberant, dedicated family. I didn’t score it higher only because the traditional sports underdog tropes are not very inventive, yet still effective.

I also LOVE that the real wrestler took her stage name #Paige from Rose McGowan’s character from my all time favorite show #Charmed !

“Fighting With My Family is Executive Produced by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson based on the 2012 documentary “The Wrestlers: Fighting with My Family”, depicting the rise to fame of female WWE star Paige.

Much to my surprise we were treated to a post screening Q&A by the writer/director/actor STEPHEN MERCHANT now posted to Tinsel & Tine’s Youtube Channel (Subscribe!)

Cast: Florence Pugh, Lena Headey, Nick Frost, Jack Lowden, Vince Vaughn, Dwayne Johnson
