Eat Your Way Through the CHRISTMAS VILLAGE – Love Park Philly 2014

On Black Friday, I either go to the movies or buy a new electronic for myself. And when I go to check out the unique gifts at the holiday bazaar, authentic German Market known as the Christmas Village in Philadelphia (Love Park (JFK Plaza) 1500 Arch Street
Philadelphia, PA 19102) I tend to eat my way through. Aren’t I just all about the season of giving!

PREZELPHORIA offers Pennsylvania made pretzels with spices and high quality chocolate and other assorted snack items  – Did you know Wilbur chocolate goes back as far as Hershey?

My favorite food stand is the WANDERING WAFFLE this is the second year at the Christmas Village for Clementine (the owner) and her scrumptious waffle bites.

The batter before it goes on the waffle iron looks like cookie dough and is actually imported from Belgium. The secret ingredient being the bead like little sugar granules called sugar pearls.  I’m very impressed with The Wandering Waffle’s packaging – it’s not only attractive but works great, our waffle bites stayed warm quite a while and I love the dip dispenser on the top!

This year, actually I was touring through the Christmas Village invited as press, along with a number of other writers and bloggers.  Vanessa Wills is a writer for YELP.com and she’s enjoying an Halal Chicken Doner from BERLIN DONER KABAP  Booth.

Tina is another writer with YELP.com and she was enthused about eating Cheese on a stick from the CHEESE BOOTH.

And look who we found not turning water into wine but instead sipping mulled wine from CHADDSFORD WINERY –  None other than Philly Jesus!
