    November 17, 2020 /

by Le Anne Lindsay, Editor Christmas Village in Philadelphia, the authentic open-air German-style Christmas Market at LOVE Park and City Hall, will again return for the 2020 holiday season from Thanksgiving to Christmas Eve. Now with a new socially distanced layout, reduced vendor capacity, new safety protocols, and a new separated food area. For this year, Christmas Village in Philadelphia will see many changes with the health and safety of visitors, tourists, vendors and staff in mind.  Masks and social distancing will be required. December 10, 2014 /

On Black Friday, I either go to the movies or buy a new electronic for myself. And when I go to check out the unique gifts at the holiday bazaar, authentic German Market known as the Christmas Village in Philadelphia (Love Park (JFK Plaza) 1500 Arch Street Philadelphia, PA 19102) I tend to eat my way through. My favorite food stand is the WANDERING WAFFLE this is the second year at the Christmas…

The Black Male Body: Dead on Arrival (Fruitvale Station & Trayvon Martin)

    July 15, 2013 /

by Christopher “Flood the Drummer” Norris With Zimmerman found not guilty, and Director Ryan Coogler recapping Oscar Grant’s last days on the big screen, the reoccurring injustices to the Black Male Body are painfully evident. While the “Not Guilty” verdict is saturating headlines from print to post, it’s not the only tragic story of an unarmed black male being crucified by an overzealous, gun-wielding “authority figure.” Millennial Movie Maker Ryan Coogler, 26, has bought his award-winning story Fruitvale Station, of a 22-year-old Bay Area resident Oscar Grant to the big screen. Produced by Forest Whitaker and starring Academy Award winner Olivia Spencer as Oscar’s mom, the 90 minute feature film…
