I like when Disney gets a little Metaphysical, like “Coco” In “Soul” a middle-school band teacher named Joe Gardner gets the chance of a lifetime to play the piano in a jazz quartet headed by the great Dorothea Williams. Featuring Jamie Foxx as the voice of Joe, and Angela Bassett as Dorothea.

Disney’s MULAN China Controversy

What started out as a way to make sure the live remake of animated Mulan would have as much authenticity as possible and a way to rake in Chinese box office, now has Disney getting back lash from anti-China thinking in the US and retaliation from the Chinese government by a refusal to allow its media to promote the film, which earned a meager $23 million in its Chinese theatrical debut.
