My Sundance posts caught the eye of someone who was helping a friend do publicity on an event taking place at #Sundance2020, she asked me if I wanted to attend. I said I would, only the event was taking place the same day I was flying home from Park City. We chatted a bit more over DMs, leading to her mentioning that she was also a co-founder of this publication Central New York Woman Online  which features women of all walks of life, age, race and location, telling their stories of success, failure and hope. Abandon Ship! Summer Projects & Procrastination

I realize I've had a couple of summers recently, where I've been pulled into projects that I should be up for doing. That should be in my wheelhouse, and yet, I never feel that way, Imposter Syndrome, I suppose. But also, a lack of motivation, it always feels like too…

These are the movies that if I find it on TV, I've gotta watch it to the end, no matter what point it's at. The ones that I get a hankering for, maybe not annually, but every couple of years. There's a lot of good movies missing from this list,…

Part 1 Sundance 2010 Wrap Up (Scribe – Carol Coombes)

Tinsel & Tine: Because it’s impossible for me to attend has many festivals as would be my wish, I would really love to spread the word to Film Festival Attendees around the world to send post to Tinsel & Tine. 67th Annual GOLDEN GLOBES Recap

Mo' nique started the evening off right with a very honest and emotional speech. Well deserved, her role in Precious seemed so out of character for her. It's always amazing when a comedian delivers, such a powerful performance. It's just too bad she didn't shave her legs for the red carpet!

The Birth Tinsel & Tine!

I’d like to thank all my friends and family who were with me during the labor pains of birthing a new name for my blog. I was given some good suggestions: “Film Bites”, “Restaurant and Reels”, “Dip My Toe”, “Cinema Gastronomique”, “Cineatsta”,”Hungry Eyes” and a few others. I actually only got two enthusiastic responses to Tinsel & Tine, so I was going to go with majority rules and set about…

Marco Tullio Giordana (Wild Blood)

My association with Philadelphia Cinema Alliance has once again brought me into contact with a world famous, critically-acclaimed writer/director- Marco Tullio Giordana. In Italy he is one of the most popular and well-regarded filmmakers of the last thirty years. His films such as, I cento passi (2000) Pasolini, un delitto italiano (1995) and most recently Sanguepazzo (Wild Blood) (2008) are so respected that many Universities in the US teach entire…

NY Film & Video Festival Wrap Up

I only saw two films I would recommend to Philadelphia Cinema Alliance for CineFest, but it was great just being in the atmosphere of the festival, building my courage to talk to more and more filmmakers and attendees and trying to do timely posts...

ODE TO GUIDING LIGHT

by Le Anne Lindsay, Tinsel & Tine Editor and #1 GL Fan Now readers, if you’ve never watched this Soap Opera or any for that matter, than please forgive me for going off the track of Film and Food. But I felt I owed a place of honor on my blog to this television institution which showed its very last episode on September 18, 2009 after 72 years of being…
