    Tinsel & Tine Joins Marvel (MCU) Panel at the Franklin Institute By Le Anne Lindsay, Editor As you’ve probably seen in several places on the blog, I became a member of the Philadelphia Film Critics Circle (PFCC) in May of 2019.  The Association is still new – 2 years  (comparatively the NYFCC started in 1935) and most major cities have a similar film association begun at various times, but for some reason, not Philadelphia; until fellow Philly critics Rich Heimlich and Stephen Silver got together to start one here.  As a writer/blogger/journalist it helps to have an affiliation around you in this business in terms of credibility, getting interviews, film…

    The gloves are coming off and the grills are ready to be fired up! Over 60 restaurants from around the region will battle for burger bragging rights at the 9th Annual Philadelphia Burger Brawl presented by Jim Beam.     Philadelphia’s largest food competition will move to the fall and take place on Sunday, September 15, 2019, at a new location at Navy Yard Philadelphia.    Guests are invited to enjoy unlimited burger samples and vote for their favorite. While this is true, I am a big fan of “School of Rock”, The “Before Sunrise/Sunset/Midnight” Trilogy, “Boyhood” and now, “Where’d You Go, Bernadette” – so I guess in the future, I’ll preface by saying, he’s one of my favorites when his stuff is sentimental and dialogue heavy.
