Got invited to cover the 2nd Annual PHLFoodstagram Event featuring West Avenue Grille Restaurant in Jenkingtown. The event was aimed at super young Philly Influencers, but I got to be included as the old-head of the PHL Blogging world. The Rooftop of the Sterling Apartments on 18th & JFK is an awesome setting. It was one of those perfect temperature, soft end of summer evenings, and the views of the city were spectacular. HUSLTERS – Since trying it in a class a decade ago, I’ve said pole dancing should be an Olympic sport, it’s very athletic and requires an enormous amount of fitness and training. The competitors would have to change up on the uniform, lose the thong and heels, allow men to compete, but otherwise, it has my vote, especially when someone as graceful and perfectly toned as Jennifer Lopez is the top competitor. However, the movie “Hustlers” is so much more than a light romp of pretty women pole dancing, while running an extortion ring. Female writer/director Lorene Scafaria has created a movie with some meat to it (no pun intended)…

The Association is still new – 2 years (comparatively the NYFCC started in 1935) and most major cities have a similar film association begun at various times, but for some reason, not Philadelphia; until fellow Philly critics Rich Heimlich and Stephen Silver got together to start one here.
