A Revlock Review: RUN ALL NIGHT

    March 14, 2015 /

Liam Neeson’s Latest Thriller By Tinsel & Tine Blog Contributor Mikhail Revlock I’m probably the wrong person to be reviewing the latest Liam Neeson actioner, having observed Neeson’s ascent to action stardom at a distance and with some skepticism. To me, Neeson will always be Oskar Schindler or some prestigious variant, a habitual player in period pieces lauded by critics and reluctantly consumed by audiences, the cinematic equivalent of the Brussels sprout. I find it surreal when I spy flashes of Schindler on TV toting automatic weapons and growling murderous threats. I am not by any means an action movie snob–I have seen the vast majority of Sylvester Stallone’s…

Empire Talk Week 10: Sins of the Father (Fox TV)

    March 13, 2015 /

by Le Anne Lindsay, Editor Quick Recap/Highlights and Around the Web with Empire Can’t wait for next week’s 2hr finale airing March 18, 2014. No matter what movie screening is taking place, I’ll be home watching Empire. The March 4th episode notched a staggering 5.8 rating (14.3 million total viewers), making it this season’s top-rated drama on broadcast television! #Empire Why didn’t Jamal get a paternity test before gett’n all attached to that little girl? pic.twitter.com/5uZIPlTHxy — Tinsel & Tine (@tinseltine) March 12, 2015 I was surprised they wrapped up the storyline with Jamal and his little girl Lola so fast, with the ultimate shocker being Lucious is actually Lola’s…

International Women’s Day Celebration in Bala Cynwyd

    March 9, 2015 /

The theme for this International Women's Day gathering was Micro-Entrepreneurship, so every woman in the room got a chance to talk about their business or their dreams for their business/passionate pursuit.  I can't feature everyone who attended in one post, but here's a sampling of the attendees...

Empire Talk Week 9: Unto the Breach (Fox TV)

    March 5, 2015 /

Quick Recap/Highlights and Around the Web with Empire Note:embedded tweets will not be entirely visible to those receiving Tinsel & Tine via RSS Feed. Only 3 more episodes left of Empire Season 1. I think Twitter is going to miss it most! I couldn’t fit in a post recapping last week’s “The Lyon’s Roar”; but next week is called “Sins of the Father”, boy is that fitting; after that it looks like a two hour season finale, because “Die But Once” and “Who I Am” are both scheduled to air on March 18th. “@KEEPemTLKIN: Porsha and her girls rolled up on Boo Boo Kitty like.. #EmpireFOX pic.twitter.com/aAXp8RYKCv” 😂😂😭😭😂😭😭😂 — S…

    March 2, 2015 /

Hey Tinsel & Tine Readers, Just a brief interlude between our Film, Empire, Food & Philly Event posts.   Like so many others out there, Blogging is what I love to do, and although I intentionally make sure each post takes less than 2 minutes to read. You can not imagine how much time I spend on Tinsel & Tine in general. We’ve all read about bloggers making money from their sites, being compensated for all the time invested. Maybe you’re one of the lucky ones doing just that.  I’ve tried Amazon, Google Adsense, Massive Sway and BlogHer Influencer. So far, Google hasn’t added up to the $100 needed before…
