Trader Joe’s Tarte D’ Alsace
Everyone knows my love affair with Trader Joe’s – but this is my favorite, favorite thing from there: 4+++ TINE RATING! The Maitre Pierre Tart D’ Alsace w/ Ham, Caramelized Onions & Gruyere Cheese. It’s a cross between a pizza, tarte and crepe. The ham is closer to prosciutto, the center of the tarte stays gooey, the crust, when you watch it and don’t let it burn, is golden crunchy. My friend Heather introduced me to it a couple of years back on NYE and I still make it my go to when I’m feeling blue and need a treat! $4.99. It’s only enough for 1, don’t even think about…

Sometimes I Actually Eat at Home: FALL HASH
If you follow Tinsel & Tine regularly, you know I’m a foodie who can, but rarely cooks. I like to be cooked for! Therefore, today’s vegetarian picnic was from HipCityVeg (127 S. 18th Street Phila, PA). Blogger, PhillyPhoodie wasn’t too keen on his experience, but I was surprisingly satisfied with the Philly Steak grilled onions and mushrooms (all plant based, no meat no cheese). And truthfully, I’ve always preferred sweet potato fries to regular; although, not sure they even count as diet food, just vegetarian. For dinner – here’s my latest Trader Joe’s quick meal. Look in the refrigerated aisle for Balela – Middle Eastern Salad…

Traders Joes: Veggie Dishes
I struggle when it comes to eating enough vegetables during the week. I like them, but there’s always something more fun and readily available to eat outside of the veggie family. Although recently, I have discovered two veggie combinations from Trader Joe’s that I can put together in minutes and actually look forward to having: This freshly packaged Brussels Sprouts Sauté comes all together with cranberries, onions, bacon, hazelnuts and container of balsamic dressing. The ingredients come layered, so first I caramelize the onions and bacon in a little olive oil, before adding in the finely chopped brussels sprouts. After sauteing for about 5 minutes, I added in the balsamic…
