    December 4, 2014 /

I got a chance to talk to PIFF founder, Benjamin Barnett now that the festival has officially been moved from June to April 17-25, 2015.  There was much excitement in Ben's voice as we discussed this highly anticipated blending of art and technology.

    Hairy Baby: BIG HERO 6

    November 9, 2014 /

Disney's latest offering Big Hero 6 is loosely based on a Japanese-style comic strip. It features Hiro (voice of Ryan Potter), a 13 year-old genius who's already eligible for college, but thinks that's a waste of time, when he's already making big bank entering robot battle competitions with a seemingly innocuous floppy looking bot, which completely destroys the competition.  Talk about a ringer!

    HER

    January 10, 2014 /

by Le Anne Lindsay, Editor  LOVE TECHNOLOGY STYLE – HER Every year there’s that film that critics decide to laud and it gets agreed upon this is the one to tell audiences to see – this year that movie is “her“, a film by Spike Jonze (Being John Malkovich, Adaptation, Where the Wild Things Are) a filmmaker who seems to be in the inner circle when it comes to praise, even from the harshest critics. I suppose I sound like I’m about to disagree with their choice – ummm…, well, no. I wouldn’t disagree with the fact that Her is very creative with an interesting concept and opens up good…

Cold Grub for Wikileaks Sidekick: THE FIFTH ESTATE

    October 18, 2013 /

The social structure of The Middle Ages established The Three Estates – The First Estate: Clergy; The Second Estate: Nobility; The Third Estate: Commoners; The Fourth Estate: Press and Journalism, didn’t come about until 1787 with the first reporting of the goings on in the House of Commons of Great Britain. Now in the age of the internet and Citizen Journalism a Fifth Estate has been born! T & T The Fifth Estate Synopsis: The movie starts out with a frenzy happening in a news room, which others probably would know is The Guardian in the UK, but not having followed the Wikileaks story closely back in 2010, I…

The First Fruits – Apple: JOBS movie

    August 18, 2013 /

I’m strictly a Windows and Android kinda girl.  Probably due to financial constraints.  But even when I do win the Publishers Clearing House $5000 A Week for Life, not a commercial, truly my destiny!  I’ll still probably stick with Windows and Android over Apple because it’s what I know.  With that being said, I was still highly anticipating the biopic Jobs directed by Joshua Michael Stern. Why? Because Steve Job’s life represents the world we’re so immersed in on a daily basis – Technology! How involved was Apple?  JMS: They weren’t [involved] at all. They don’t have anything to gain by coming out for or against it. All of…
