    TRANSCENDENCE – Not Quite

    April 19, 2014 /

by Le Anne Lindsay, Editor Warning, this review has slight spoilers It’s nice to see a movie where Johnny Depp looks like Johnny Depp, or at least like a real person for a change.  I read an interview where Depp says he doesn’t like the way he looks, which is why he hides behind elaborate characters.  What kind of dysmorphic nonsense is that! In Transcendence, Depp plays Dr. Will Castor, a leading authority on Artificial Intelligence, with a scholarly, science-geek kinda sexy going on. Of course we don’t get to enjoy Depp in the flesh for long, as he’s soon targeted with radiation poisoning and begins to look ghastly. By…

Around the Web w/ CAPTAIN AMERICA: The Winter Soldier

    April 4, 2014 /

You know me and war movies, even comic book depicted war I try to avoid as much as possible, so I wasn’t interested in seeing Captain America The First Avenger when it came out in 2011. And the first Thor movie, well, I just kinda let it pass for no real good reason (I’m caught up now).  Originally, I was mostly only into Iron Man, mainly due to my love for Robert Downey, Jr.,. Then later, The Avengers movie looked like a hoot, so I definitely wanted and did see that in the theater; which clued me in on how intertwined the whole Marvel Universe is throughout each movie,…

    DIVERGENT (1 of 3 Franchise)

    March 21, 2014 /

Our fierce, loyal, full of bravery and heart heroine of this futuristic time is named Beatrice (Shailene Woodley), but upon starting her new “Dauntless” life, she changes it to Tris. Okay, we’re going to need a… T&T Synopsis:  Like most stories set in the not too distant future, the aftermath of a terrible war precipitated the need to form a new society (and who knows with the whole Putin/Crimea annexed thing, this future may not be too far off). This new society living behind a wall, which we know not what lay on the other side, decided it best to divide people up into 5 categories or Factions: Government…

    HER

    January 10, 2014 /

by Le Anne Lindsay, Editor  LOVE TECHNOLOGY STYLE – HER Every year there’s that film that critics decide to laud and it gets agreed upon this is the one to tell audiences to see – this year that movie is “her“, a film by Spike Jonze (Being John Malkovich, Adaptation, Where the Wild Things Are) a filmmaker who seems to be in the inner circle when it comes to praise, even from the harshest critics. I suppose I sound like I’m about to disagree with their choice – ummm…, well, no. I wouldn’t disagree with the fact that Her is very creative with an interesting concept and opens up good…
