    The Lovebirds

    May 23, 2020 /

If you’ve seen and liked 2010’s Date Night (starring Tina Fey and Steve Carell) or the more recent Game Night (starring Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams), or even to some extent Nanjiani’s out-of-control flick from last summer Stuber, then you should get a kick out of The Lovebirds.

Candi’s Corner : THAT AWKWARD MOMENT

    February 2, 2014 /

by Contributor Candace Cordelia There’s no need to strive for cool. Everyone is a nerd in some way. You may be a Game of Thrones nerd, French food nerd, American politics nerd, or Hong Kong fashion nerd. The point is that we all have or have had something that we are passionate about, something that continues to keep our motors running. Book to Film: One Day

    June 23, 2012 /

I’m always open to guest bloggers on Tinsel & Tine! Although normally those I asked to write something, always say – “Yes, great I’d like to do that”, and then never write a bleeping word.  Those that contact me, of course want to include a link.  Which is fine as long as the link goes to something above board, and most importantly, the post is well-written and pertaining to film or food or ideally both. Please enjoy guest post by Rose Redding: ————————————————————————————  Commentary: One Day When David Nicholls’s novel, One Day, hit bookshelves back in 2009 it quickly became a phenomenon. After being translated into 31 languages it appeared…

Dishing Up: A Little Bit of Heaven

    May 19, 2012 /

True, the movie is a candidate for straight to video; but on that level it has merit. Much less frothy than some of Kate Hudson's other fare such as: Bride Wars, My Best Friend's Girl or You, Me and Dupree,  A Little Bit of Heaven is basically the female equivalent of Joseph Gordon Levitt's 50/50.
