Commentary – Machine Gun Preacher w/ Sam Childers Q & A
The real Sam Childers says the timeline of his actual transformation from this way of living, to becoming a preacher and savior for orphaned children in war torn Sudan, took a heck of a lot longer than how it's portrayed in the film, however, the basis of the story is completely true

Philadelphia Film Society at Tribeca Film Fest
I sat down with PFS Executive Director, Andrew Greenblatt to get the scoop on what he liked at the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival and what Philly audiences might expect during the upcoming 20th Philadelphia Film Festival (Oct. 13-23, 2011). My first thoughts when it comes to attending the more well known film festivals, is all about being a part of the gala celebrations, red carpets and rubbing elbows with the celebrities. Andrew intentionally avoids all that, he’s there to screen – saw 15 films in 5 days, and aims to see a minimum of 4 films a day at Cannes. Therefore, he didn’t light “A Candle in the Wind” or…

Metropolis – PFS & Macy’s Event
Partnering with the Friends of the Wanamaker Organ and hosted by Macy’s Center City, attendees were treated to a truly unique Philly film event by pairing Fritz Lang’s 1927 restored sci-fi work of art with the historic Wanamaker Organ, fantastically played by Peter Richard Conte. Metropolis is an ambitious film, even by today’s standard in terms of themes explored. Interview TOM MCCARTHY Interview – WIN WIN
By Le Anne Lindsay, Editor Tom McCarthy (The Station Agent, The Visitor) has once again written and directed a picture that’s been touted at the festivals; however, his newest film has enough mainstream appeal to be backed by Fox Searchlight Pictures. Win Win is the story of an attorney, wrestling coach and most importantly, family man, Mike Flaherty (Paul Giamatti) living in a middle class Jersey suburb trying to keep things going in these difficult economic times. The crux of the film deals with how a small indiscretion can cause considerable consequences in a person’s life and the lives of those around them. Mike’s clients mostly consist of senior citizens…

Commentary – Due Date and Unstoppable
UNSTOPPABLE – There’s plenty of cliches you can use to describe this movie, like – “it’s a non-stop thrill ride”, “It’s got enough steam to be a run away hit” or “Catch this power packed vehicle before it leaves the theater”. All apt descriptions, as director Tony Scott has delivered a really intense action movie that had our preview audience noticeably cringing, rooting and cheering for veteran train engineer, Frank (Denzel Washington) and newbie Will (Chris Pine) as they try to chase down a runaway train, carrying highly toxic and flammable material into populated areas outside of Pittsburgh….
