Black Label ComiCon 2: Back On The Rise In Philadelphia

    July 5, 2021 /

To give you some history on Black Label ComiCon; it was started by the founder Eric M. Cooper on Aug 2019. Eric felt that Black Label ComiCon should be unique in its approach and to resemble part of the Black Wall Street Era of history back in the early 1900's. This era was about Black Owned business and to share the resources of that community. Black Label ComiCon is unique to having only Independent Artists and Writers at this convention to sell and promote their own individual properties...

Thor-ing Around- THOR: THE DARK WORLD

    November 8, 2013 /

Here’s what I want, said Thor: The Dark World cinematographer Kramer Morgenthau: I want a real slow tilt up Hemsworth’s abs. I want the Asgardian light to be especially slanty and dramatic in this little gazebo here and I want Hemmy’s pecs to look absolutely humongous. Got that? I mean I want those suckers to look huge. And I don’t care if this body shot has nothing to do with the story. That’s irrelevant. This is Hemmy we’re talking about. So I want water from the sieve — yes, of course there’ll be a sieve — to drip slowly down his beautiful cosmo-Nordic hair and face, over the mountainous (again,…

    Henry Cavill: MAN OF STEEL

    June 15, 2013 /

Well, as I’ve stated in two previous posts: Simply Marvel-ous: The 4 Comic Book Movies You Don’t Want to Miss and Grazing: THIS IS THE END I wholly approve of the new Superman Henry Cavill,  I had seen him in the Immortals and I remember him being the only thing good about that movie; but it took him playing The Man of Steel to really capture my attention. I was surprised to also like Amy Adams as Lois Lane. When I first heard she’d be playing the role, I felt she was too over-exposed and that a lesser known actress should play the part.  But as this Lois Lane character…

Burnin Hot! – IRON MAN 3

    May 3, 2013 /

I was just checking out the Iron Man 3 comments on Superherohype.com, Wow! Some of those fanboys are tough, and not just on the movie, they’re so hateful with each other. I often wonder why I don’t receive more comments, but if that’s what having comments gets you, than please keep your thoughts to yourself! Of course, you know, I’m happy to converse with anyone who wants to talk movies pro or con, food or just chat, but in a fun and civilized manner. Anyway, I thought Iron Man 3 was AWESOME!  I’ll leave it to the fanboys to really pick it apart or give it praise, but for me,…

Graphic Novel to Movie Adaptation: WATCHMEN

    March 12, 2009 /

I'm deliberately not going to write an intellectual review on The Watchmen, because personally, I'm a little sick of all the "Holy Grail" of Graphic Novels talk that preceded this movie's release. Perhaps it is the most outstanding concept and artwork the Comic Book world has ever seen, perhaps those that feel that way, have a right to feel it should not have been made into a film. I don't know...
