CouchFest is now a part of SHNIT Short Film Fest (Philly Oct 17, 2015)
Shnit is a 12-day celebration of short film, hosted simultaneously in multiple cities around the world as shnit Playgrounds & shnit Cinemas. Last year Tinsel & Tine covered Couch Fest Shorts Film Festival hosted by The MadLap Post This year, Couch Fest became a part of shnit, allowing more communities to have access to exceptional films. Nicole Ayers of Madlab will once again host the screenings in the Philly area. 11th Annual LunaFest Short Films Festival
If you consume powerbars, you’ll no doubt be familiar with Clif and Luna bars, but you may not know this same company is in the film biz. In 2000 they created LunaFest a short film festival by, for and about women. It’s a traveling, one night film festival; this year (Friday, March 2, 2012) one of the stops was Chestnut Hill, PA (30 minutes outside Center City Philadelphia for any non-local readers). PFS Spring Preview Film Festival
So, as sad as it was that Philadelphia Cinema Alliance had to shelf CineFest this spring; Philly film buffs will still have a chance to enjoy a mini spring Film Festival through Philadelphia Film Society sponsored by Pennsylvania Hospital. (See attached below Press Release) The weekend festival begins Friday, April 9th at 5pm with 11 “FREE” films in all.
