The Cameron AB Show and Me

    November 23, 2020 /

And then, around the same time, a new friend, dancer/actor Cameron Auble-Branigan,  who I interviewed last fall (see below), said he was starting a podcast centered around all aspects of the entertainment industry, but seen through the eyes of those not usually in the spotlight. And asked if I'd be his first guest.

Philly Spotlight: Philly Independent Film Festival Preview @ Art Alliance

    January 31, 2015 /

One of the films "The Invitation" had its first preview before a test audience. The filmmaker J.P. Hoffman (Imaginarium Pictures) was in attendance along with the featured actors Tom Schmitt and Melissa O’Donnell.  On the surface the film appears to be a break up love story, until it takes a turn to the dark side.

Tinsel & Tine’s Coverage of the 23rd Philadelphia Film Festival (#PFF23) Part 1

    November 2, 2014 /

For me, St. Vincent works mainly because Lieberher is a natural.  During the Q&A he seems pretty much like a regular kid, but in the movie, he can deliver humor with the deadpan brilliance of a seasoned comedian.  Also, the story provides a genuine unfolding of just who this man, Vincent, used to be, and how he came to this point in his life...

Pennsylvania Film Industry Association (PaFIA) Fall Mixer Roundup & Interview with Videographer & Film Editor Jonathan Grossman

    September 22, 2013 /

by Le Anne Lindsay, Editor On Wednesday September 19, 2013 I attended the PaFIA Fall Social & Mixer at Morgan’s Pier (221 N. Columbus Blvd) which was open to non-members. There are times I mark things on my calendar to cover and then when the actual event is upon me, I get a little chicken and think maybe I won’t go.  I almost did that with this event which started at 8pm, but I couldn’t get it together and arrived at 9:15pm.  The funny part is, after I get some free food and a drink, I’m in total blogging mode!  Approaching people, Nikon and digital voice recorder at the ready,…

Holiday Treat: Rise of the Guardians

    November 26, 2012 /

I do enjoy the concept of the TV show Once Upon A Time, which expands the personalities and back-story’s of fairytale and legendary characters. This season even goes so far as to have Snow White and Sir Lancelot be old friends and Mulan is quite familiar with Rumpelstiltskin.  What I don’t like about “Once” is simple – it’s poorly written.  The plots never really grab you or make very good use of these fabled, beloved heroes, heroines, villains and creatures. Going into Rise of the Guardians I expected to feel pretty much the same, as this story brings together Santa Claus/North (Alec Baldwin), The Tooth Fairy (Isla Fisher), The Sandman…
