Commentary – Inception
Dreaming is one of the most Universal experiences the human race shares. How many times have we said to each other, " I had a dream last night that...." We take dreaming as a matter of course, whether we're the type to fly in our dreams, have more dreams remembered, or more dreams forgotten, more based in reality vs fantasy, nightmares vs oh what a good dream.

Cheap Trick at the Piazza / Submit Film to PFF
Had my blogging hat on for Philadelphia Film Society last night, at their screening of Cheap Trick’s Live at Budokan at the Piazza. I also put on my interviewing hat. Here’s an except from the post. Click the link below to read full post on PFS site. …And later during the film I sat in front of these two gentlemen, from their comments I could tell they were really familiar with the music. T & T Does Vegas
I’m sure many people share my view that this movie represents an ideal of Vegas (above clip “The Lady Loves Me” from Viva Las Vegas). I still have to catch The Hangover, never have seen Casino, hated Leaving Las Vegas, Ocean’s 11, original and remakes are pretty cool, but nothing stacks up against Ann-Margaret and Elvis in a dance off! Two things you always hear about Las Vegas, other than the mantra What happens…

I truly enjoyed last year’s programming and had a great time throughout the festival! This year, I have some conflicts with the first week of QFest 2010, but I do hope to see and write about a number of the films offered for the second week of the festival. Click HERE for a listing of the upcoming lesbian films slated. They’re even opening the festival with a lesbian oriented film – Elena Undone. I hope the main…

Le Bec Fin Celebrates 40th Anniversary
I do try to read blogs, feeds, tweets etc… about food and film happenings in Philly, but something inevitably gets by me, so it was a stroke of luck that I happened upon the sidewalk celebration taking place at Le Bec Fin (1523 Walnut Street). Chef George Perrier and his entire staff were joyously celebrating the landmark restaurant’s 40th Anniversary. There was banging of pots and pans, clapping, and best of all, elegant bite-sized morsels of deliciousness were being served on silver platters. Perrier himself was wielding a saber as a bottle opener, popping open the celebratory bottle of champagne with a flair! Suddenly I remembered I was carrying my…
