April 16-27, 2013 (Lower Manhattan) POST UPDATE 3/29/14: Well, now I’m super bummed because I got turned down for press credentials to #TFF2014. I heard they simply aren’t accepting as many bloggers as they have in past years. I was sent an invitation from Tribeca to throw my hat in the ring, as it were, on December 21, 2013. You’d think they could let you know before March 21st., that’s just so late to put things in order, so I was proceeding as if it were a done deal. September is always the start of event season! I started off Friday September 6th with The Off Broad Street Mobile App “Appy Hour”. I get some requests to promote some theater events in Philly, and up until recently often turned it down, not wanting to dilute the brand of Film & Food. But I also pride Tinsel & Tine as being a Philly Blog, so why not add a little theater info in now and again. XPN Music Film Festival Round Up 2013
by Le Anne Lindsay, Editor The XPN Music Film Festival was the second collaboration of the radio station WXPN/and Philly music venue World Cafe Live produced by The Philadelphia Film Society. I got to a few more screenings last year (XPN Music Film Fest 2012), just kinda dipped in and out this year, but what I experienced was worth while! Opening Night was Thursday April 11th- You can’t go wrong opening with something Beatles inspired. XPN / PFS Music Film Festival Round Up
On Thursday April 26 The Inaugural XPN Music Film Festival, produced by The Philadelphia Film Society got underway at the Annenberg Center in University City, Philadelphia. For anyone unfamiliar with XPN: WXPN, is a nationally recognized leader in Triple A radio and the premier guide for discovering new and significant artists in rock, blues, roots, and folk, is the non-commercial, member-supported radio service of the University of Pennsylvania.
