    Cut Print Film: GODZILLA

    May 16, 2014 /

I got to virtually meet a fellow Philly film writer this week!  Jeff Rollins of the awesome site Cut Print Film, their site design is so contemporary, it really make me want to redesign T&T.  We got to talking and decided it would be cool to do a cross promotion of each others sites. CPF did a fantastic job of promoting my Belle post and I’m super happy to post their Godzilla review!  It’s everything I wanted to say about the movie, yet now I don’t have to write it: By Chris Evangelista  Godzilla arrives with all the fanfare and hype possible for the King of the Monsters. Essentially…

Blog Contributor Monique: LOCKE (Tom Hardy

    May 9, 2014 /

by Monique Steans I was really glad to get the assignment to see LOCKE, as it had been on my Indie film radar for sometime. TOM HARDY’S character Ivan Locke, centers around an emotionally tortured man who on the outside seems calmbut on the inside is falling apart at the seams. The film was shot entirely in a car, in London with a singular character, Locke, interacting on the phone with those in his life, it’s an interesting journey. I couldn’t help but feel an emotional connection to everything his character went through – from getting fired, to cheating on his wife, resulting in another woman having his baby; and…

    Blog Contributor: BRICK MANSIONS

    April 25, 2014 /

by Monique Steans, Contributor Brick Mansions (Director Camille Delamarre screenwriter Luc Besson); is action-packed from the start! Parkour, guns, & car chases, with a little laugh here and there.  These things kept my blood pumping throughout the film. The plot keeps you wondering if the characters we’re supposed to trust, really have our interest at heart, so much so, that oddly enough, you end up rooting for people you don’t expect… The late PAUL WALKER plays a cop trying to do the right thing, and avenge his father’s (also a police detective) death. – Paul will truly be missed. This was an intense and arresting performance. Attesting to the fact…

Candi’s Corner: Interview w/ Producers & Director of OCULUS

    April 17, 2014 /

On Mirrors, Movie Making, and Jem:  Interview With The Producers and Director/Writer of “Oculus” By Tinsel & Tine Blog Contributor Candace Cordelia Smith (Candi’s Corner) Call me weird, odd, or sick, but I love horror movies. The less gory, the better. I don’t know when this love first began, but you can count on me to watch “The Gate” if it’s ever on television and Lord knows that I’m waiting with bated breath for the next installment of American Horror Story. There’s just something invigorating, frightening, and psychologically remarkable about wanting to avoid all windows every night for a month after watching “The Strangers”. “Oculus”, out in theaters now, is…

DJ Reezey Review/Interview: RIO 2 Director Carlos Saldanha

    April 11, 2014 /

Rio 2: Family Fun That’ll Make You Laugh, Dance & Think!  Carlos Saldanhas’ love for family is eye-poppingly evident in Rio 2  By Tinsel & Tine Blog Contributor: Rashaun “DJ Reezey” Williams  Take my word for it, Carlos Saldanha’s Rio 2 is certain to make your family do 3 things: laugh, dance and think! (Featuring the voices of : Jesse Eisenberg, Anne Hathaway, Kristin Chenoweth, Jamie Foxx & Miguel Ferrer). In a colorful, 3D film about protecting the Amazon, Tulio Monteiro and Linda Gunderson are brave “tree huggers” working to protect endangered species and their habitats. In their time working as environmentalists, the couple saved and domesticated two bright blue birds,…
