    Tinsel & Tine #MiniMovieReview SERENITY by writer/director Steven Knight (LOCKE) I was looking forward to this movie which looked like a good off-beat noir-ish indie, hopefully with a nice twist and some hot chemistry between Matthew McConaughey & Anne Hathaway.     Only he figured out a smarter way to not only make the storyline more interesting than a traditional Kaiju, he also was able to keep the budget low, as we mainly experience the Monster through media - cellphones, Youtube, TV, so you don’t need to see it stomping around with a crazy amount of CGI to make an impact.

    by Le Anne Lindsay, Editor I really hope this movie THE INTERN encourages more mixing of the generations in the workplace.  Last year a temp agency sent me on a job interview at a tech/web company; I think when sent by an agency the company hiring doesn’t really have all the details of who you are – so when the young interviewer came to greet me in the reception area, I saw a noticeable look of dismissal on his face, the moment he laid eyes on me.  You could see he saw over 40, and was like, not happening.
