Best & Worst Movies of 2025 (Top 10 List)| PFCC AWARD WINNERS 2025

Here we are at the end of another year of movies and films. Tinsel & Tine turned Sweet 16 January 1st! Thankful to still have the opportunity to see and talk about films and be a part of another awards season. Kinda hoping I can make it to 25 years, then I’ll most-likely retire and just see movies entirely for fun.  Since starting Letterboxd a couple of years ago, making it so much easier to keep track of each film I see during the year – I begun aiming to see 150 movies/films released in that given year.  The first year I surpassed it with 179. Other years I’ve made my goal or gotten very close.  This year I was 15 films away… and I know why…

1) My car of 20 years gave up the ghost and I’m not prepared yet to purchase a new vehicle.  This meant when a screening was in King of Prussia or Neshaminy, I often couldn’t get there.

2) But mostly, it was because over the Memorial Holiday weekend, I decided to listen (audible) to a Romantasy novel. I started with The Daevabad Trilogy by S. A. Chakraborty about the magical world of the Djinn.  Then moved into the books everyone (on Reddit) was talking about – the The Empyrean Series by Rebecca Yarros, featuring dragons and their riders at a magical war college. Then I was told the granddaddy of them all was the Sarah J Maas Universe of books: Throne of Glass (TOG), A Court of Thorns And Roses (ACOTAR) and Crescent City (CC) 15 books total and then so on and so on. I’m still in the throes of this new found passion, which didn’t leave time for me to watch as many movies as I typically would; and that’s how I only saw 135 for 2025.
