Just a Little Interlude

I couldn’t get this song out of my head today – “Crazy World” from one of my very favorite movie musicals Victor/Victoria. For those who receive Tinsel & Tine via e-mail, you’ll have to go to the site to enjoy the clip. (Julie Andrews by Henry Mancini)

    Denine,
Thanks so much for sharing! Movies really do have the power to influence our lives, especially the ones we gravitate to early on. Andrews and Preston do have great chemistry in this musical, maybe even more so than the romantic chemistry with James Garner. We'll have to set a day to watch Victor/Victoria together!

Lele, this is one of my all-time favorite movies. I saw it as an "impressionable" teenager, aware of my burgeoning gayness, but unable to express it anywhere. This movie, among several others was such a big influence on my life. And what a voice Ms. Andrew's possesses! She and "Toddy" Robert Preston, made such a pair! I usually have Le Jazz Hot running through my head – it makes me happy when I'm down. I used to sing it to myself to get through the rough teen-age years! Thanks for posting this!
