Since 1995 The Barrymore Awards have honored excellence in theater in Philadelphia, so it has been time to have something similar for all the Philly Filmmakers producing engaging, thought-provoking and entertaining films/movies in the city. Enter Floyd Marshall, Angelique Marshall & Keyon Smith on the scene to produce the 1st Annual Philadelphia Independent Film Awards.
(Note: Not to be confused with the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival which is in it’s 9th year running April 29 – May 8, 2016 or with PIFA (Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts)
The Philly Indie Film Awards will be an Oscar inspired evening to take place on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at International House and will honor films, actors, directors, cinematographers and more from all over the US and abroad.
