One of the films scheduled to screen in Philly during my shnit International Film Festival exhibition is the successfully Kickstarter backed thriller titled Contrapelo. The film is about about a kidnapped barber who is forced to shave the leader of the drug cartel.
The film stars Hugo Medina from the Netflix series Orange is the New Black and the HBO series True Blood and was selected as IndieWire’s “Project of the Day” during it’s 2013-2014 crowdfunding campaign.
