So I’m going to start from last night’s Stewart Bradley fundraiser at the Sumo Lounge at RAW and work my way backward to Saturday, with quick commentary, so that I can catch up with all my recent activity at the festival. This fan pictured with Bradley is not indicative of the crowd, which was mostly very young. Which is super to see a younger set supporting PFS. Q: Was the film Perfect Blue an inspiration for this film? A: Not really, there are similarities between the films, but it wasn’t influenced by it. It really came out of Swan Lake the Ballet, we wanted to dramatize the ballet, that’s why it’s kind of up here and down there, because ballet is big and small in lots of ways.

Commentary – Exit Through The Gift Shop
This film is better than a Nike commercial in terms of being inspiring to “just do it”! I love that this guy found his bliss, fame and made millions of dollars because it never occurred to him that he couldn’t. The guy I’m referring to is Thierry Guetta a.k.a Mr. Brainwash. PFS screened this documentary, Exit Through the Gift Shop, a couple of months ago, but I wasn’t able to attend, so I was glad when they added it to the Saturday screenings during this weekend’s Spring Preview Film Fest.
