Movie Blog Post: GIRLS TRIP
Tinsel & Tine’s Look at GIRLS TRIP By Le Anne Lindsay, Editor I first saw the trailer for Girls Trip back in like February or March and thought it looked pretty good and in addition to the known cast of Jada Pinkett Smith, Regina Hall and Queen Latifah, I saw it had the team of super producer Will Packer (THINK LIKE A MAN, Ride Along, ALMOST CHRISTMAS, STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON and many more) and the talents of director Malcolm D. Movie Blog Post: THE BEGUILED
Coppola says she didn’t want to deal with issues of race, that she didn’t feel qualified, which I understand; and I feel even though the movie takes place during the Civil War, there can still be stories told about people affected by the war, but it not be directly about the issue of slavery.

Tinsel & Tine Makes a Guest Appearance on the Popular Podcast: THE MICHEAUX MISSION By Le Anne Lindsay, Editor I’ve contributed to many post-screening Spoiled Tribbles Episodes. In fact, just did one for The Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (listen). It just so happens that some guys can wear warts like badges of honor, because Chuck, played by “Ray Donovan” lead Liev Schreiber, is the kinda guy you root for, despite his many stupid choices, lost opportunities…

Food in Film: JEREMIAH TOWER: THE LAST MAGNIFICENT
by Le Anne Lindsay, Editor The artwork for the poster is what first drew me to this documentary, as most regular readers know, the “Tine” in Tinsel & Tine stands for the tines of a fork, so when I saw the “Jeremiah Tower” poster of the fork giving the middle tine, like a middle finger, it made me laugh! But when I got to the theater, I saw trailers for the new Richard Gere movie The Dinner and the rare glimpse of Debra Winger in The Lovers, and suddenly I really wanted to see a narrative film, not a doc on a temperamental chef. Surprisingly, I got what I was…
