Dining in Montauk 2012

It’s part of “The Hamptons”, which as most know, is generally regarded as a place for the wealthy, upper crust set to summer. Although Montauk is not as exclusive as East Hampton, and at one time was thought to be for a more laid-back surfer crowd, it now tends to caterer to a trendier, affluent, mothers who look amazing in their swimwear, while holding toddlers, type inhabitants. ME AT THE TONY AWARDS 2012
by Le Anne Lindsay, Editor There’s always some glitter of Tinseltown on Broadway; however, the 66th Annual American Theater Wing’s Tony Awards had a really important film tie-in. You probably think I’m referring to: The win for Death of a Salesman produced by Scott Rudin, directed by Mike Nichols, starring Philip Seymour Hoffman and Andrew Garfield, who brought along current girlfriend and Spiderman (2012 movie) co-star Emma Stone. Or Once, totally sweeping the Tonys as a Broadway musical! Which first was a movie with an amazing soundtrack and a love story which I found to be utterly charming in it’s simplicity. But no, it’s bigger than that. Could it be……

TB: I was born into the theatre business 48 years ago as my family owned and operated movie theatres for 3 generations, since the 1920’s under the name of Brandt Theatres and Trans-Lux Theatres.
