Movie Blog Post: MY COUSIN RACHEL

    June 11, 2017 /

Tinsel & Tine Highlights: MY COUSIN RACHEL By Le Anne Lindsay, Editor I’ve mentioned many times that my all time favorite movie is Hitchcock’s REBECCA (click for T&T post) based on a novel by Daphne du Maurier so it’s odd that I have yet to see the original 1952 My Cousin Rachel also based upon a du Maurier story, starring Olivia de Havilland (miscast, according to du Maurier) and a very young Richard Burton. I’ll have to rectify that soon; however, I had been looking forward to this remake starring Rachel Weisz & Sam Clafin (Me Before You) and I’m happy to say this version of the Gothic film did…

Philly Spotlight: GPFO Rally to Un-cap PA Tax Credit

    June 7, 2017 /

Recap: Rally for the Philadelphia Film Industry By Le Anne Lindsay, Editor  Tinsel & Tine The Greater Philadelphia Film Office is keeping track of movies and television shows that were meant to shoot here, and didn’t. World War Z, The Bourne Legacy, House of Cards and American Hustle are on their list. The office contends that Pennsylvania lost these projects because there weren’t enough tax credits to entice them. Concerns that the state’s film tax credit program could be eliminated entirely in Pennsylvania’s upcoming budget talks, spurred Sharon Pinkenson and her team at The GPFO to organized a Rally, held last Saturday, June 3rd, to stir up awareness and support…

Movie Podcast Post: Le Anne Lindsay on THE MICHEAUX MISSION – TALK TO ME

    May 26, 2017 /

Tinsel & Tine Makes a Guest Appearance on the Popular Podcast: THE MICHEAUX MISSION By Le Anne Lindsay, Editor I’ve contributed to many post-screening Spoiled Tribbles Episodes. In fact, just did one for The Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (listen).  And most every Tuesday at 3:45pm, I contribute a movie segment to That’s Show Biz with Chuck Darrow, but that’s less than 10 minutes and although Chuck can sometimes serve me a curve ball, I normally stick to my script.  But when Len & Vince asked me to be a guest on their The Micheaux Mission podcast, I was pleased, but apprehensive, cause it’s an hour…

    CHUCK (The “Real Rocky”)

    May 20, 2017 /

by Le Anne Lindsay, Editor Chuck Wepner in Philadelphia for Q&A after Screening of His Biopic CHUCK When Chuck Wepner was introduced to the Philadelphia audience in attendance at PFS’s Prince Theater for the preview screening of CHUCK, the first thing he said was that the only way he agreed to have his real story told was if there were no sugar coating; he wanted it all out there – warts and all. It just so happens that some guys can wear warts like badges of honor, because Chuck, played by “Ray Donovan” lead Liev Schreiber, is the kinda guy you root for, despite his many stupid choices, lost opportunities…
