ROMANCING THE STONE – 40th Anniversary

    May 27, 2024 /

Starring: Kathleen Turner, Michael Douglas, Danny DeVito Director Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, Contact, Who Framed Roger Rabbit ) First time writer Diane Thomas I joined some fellow members of the Philadelphia Film Critics Circle to discuss this milestone anniversary on episode 120 of the Film Scribes Podcast: My Pocast Notes: This has been one of my favorite movies for as long as I can remember. Partly because I started reading romance novels at the tender age of 11 – more than likely why I’m still single, always looking for my Jesse or my Jack – and neither exists.  My favorite romance novelist had my same last…

    May 7, 2024 /

Sullivan’s Steakhouse 3 Course Bourbon Dinner

    May 1, 2024 /

By Le Anne Lindsay, Tinsel & Tine Editor ORIGINALLY POSTED April 12, 2019 –  I got to partake of SULLIVAN’S 3 Course BOURBON TASTING DINNER earlier this month at the King of Prussia location. Featuring a Tasting Flight:  MAKER’S MARK 46 – This was my favorite, it was closer to a sweeter tasting Irish Whiskey, which has become my grain liqueur of choice, replacing Scotch, after my trip to Ireland last spring. But that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate a good bourbon too. BASIL HAYDEN’S KNOB CREEK RYE Along with two Bourbon Cocktails: Brown Derby – Jim Beam, St-Germain Elder-flower Liqueur, Fresh Grapefruit Juice, Fresh Lemon Juice and Monin Honey…

“All American” Cocktail Party at Sullivan’s Steakhouse

    April 15, 2024 /

ORIGINALLY POSTED July 26, 2019 – This was my second invitation to Sullivan’s Steakhouse in King of Prussia to cover one of their Signature Tasting Dinners. They named this one “All American” Cocktail Party because it had that “Mad Men” classic cocktail flavor, but with some new twists perfect for summer. Of course it wouldn’t be a pairing dinner if we didn’t have a fabulous menu designed by Nicholas Deberardinis – Executive Chef. I first rolled out each Course via social media separately to savor each pairing. Click play to hear the evening’s mixologist explain more about each drink… See More… had to drink a few glasses of water and…
