    Movie Blog Post: GOLD

    January 30, 2017 /

by Le Anne Lindsay, Editor  ALL THAT GLITTERS IS NOT GOLD Tinsel & Tine’s Look at the Movie GOLD When I think of mining for gold what immediately comes to mind is a dirty old bearded prospector during the California Gold Rush, trying to either stake a claim or jump a claim. Let’s define a few basics: “Bedrock” is the solid hard rock of the…

Philly Spotlight: TOUCH OF HEART GREETING CARDS

    January 14, 2017 /

Greeting Cards Making A Come Back TOUCH OF HEART GREETING CARDS a tiny, little division of Hallmock  In spike Jonze’s futuristic movie HER Joaquin Phoenix’s character has a job writing personal letters for people who love the idea of corresponding the old-fashioned way but don’t have time to put pen to paper. My friend Ira “Wally” Wolins’ new business, Touch of Heart Greeting Cards, puts me in mind of this movie, because he too has found a market for people who still enjoy sending real, tactile greeting cards, but they want to send something original with a touch of humor and a touch of heart. While in between jobs, Ira helped…

The 74th Annual Golden Globes Round Up 2017

    January 13, 2017 /

Man, was it noisy this year. Every year all the celebrities say this is the most fun awards show because of the eating, drinking and socializing, but this was the first year people didn't pipe down when the next presenter came on. Some presenters didn't seem to know how to handle it. Although, everyone got good and quiet during Meryl Streep's address to not only Hollywood, but to the country. I've heard the criticisms and unfortunately, her speech didn't cause as big a stir as I would have liked. ...
