THE PURGE ANARCHY: Quick Chat with Actor Frank Grillo in Philly

    July 14, 2014 /

Post Update 7/18   Some of my readers may know I was a huge fan of the daytime soap Guiding Light (click for post) Frank Grillo played an important character on the show (1997-1999) Hart Jessup who was involved with another favorite character, wickedly wonderful Dinah Marler (Wendy Moniz)  I never knew until this week, when I saw a tweet from Wendy Moniz Grillo about The Purge: Anarchy that she and Frank Grillo got married!  Which means they’ve been together for about 15 years.  I love that 🙂 In terms of a really quick review of the movie: It’s definitely more the mayhem and mass chaos movie I imagined for…

    July 8, 2014 /

Synopsis: Living out of the public eye for years, Hollywood producer Eleonore Donte (Mara New) is still a powerful woman of beauty, class and genius; whose movies are considered a part of Cinematic History. Debbie Allen Does Philly (Brothers of the Knight & Entrepreneur Works “Actors Studio”)

    July 4, 2014 /

Debbie Allen graciously gave a free “Inside the Actors Studio” type visit to Philly at International House on July 2, 2014. Full of saucy humor and passion, Ms. Allen lectured on creativity, her life’s journey, what it means to be an artist, her relationship with her sister Phylicia Rashād, the 18 years it took to get AMISTAD made and so much more… The below video is just a small excerpt of her address to us lucky enough to attend this inspiring and insightful event: Ms Allen is in Philadelphia to present her newest staged musical Brothers of the Knight, (July 3 – 6) a hip, rejuvenated adaptation of the…

Tinsel & Tine: Quick Philly Weekend Recap (Todd Douglas Bailey “Going Up”)

    July 2, 2014 /

As I’ve mentioned, I moved exactly 1 month ago to West Philly from Mt.
