Philly Spotlight: 2014 VENDY AWARDS Recap
The Vendys (currently celebrating 10 years) are like the Golden Globes for Street Vendors – fun, informal, plenty of alcohol, good eats, and at the same time, a very coveted honor! The competition takes places in New York, Los Angeles and Philadelphia, however, Philly joined in just 4 years ago. Philly Spotlight: IHOUSE BRAZILIAN BARBECUE Recap
This past Saturday I was invited to partake of a Brazilian BBQ at International House Philadelphia @ihousephilly – what I love even more than smoked and seasoned meats, is the fact that now that I live in West Philly, IHouse (37th & Chestnut Streets) is part of my neighborhood! Every year the IHouse Board chooses a country to celebrate with a series of events. This year in honor of The 2014 FIFA World Cup they chose Brazil. You may recall Tinsel & Tine’s win an IHouse membership contest held in May was part of the Colors of Brazil Gala, previous to that was a Carnivàle and other assorted happenings, the…
