BRIDESMAIDS
SNL wacky woman, Kristen Wiig has co-written a surprisingly textured humorous tale of woe. Directed by: Paul Feig Bridesmaids mixes a crazy cast of characters, laughter and heart to create a pleasing pre-summer bouquet of comedy. Life began crumbling for pastry chef, Annie when her bakery stopped making her dough ($$). Soon after closing the shop, her boyfriend leaves her, she’s forced to moved in with her mother, and finds herself in a degrading – no friends, just benefits relationship with a self-inflated prick (Jon Hamm). Philadelphia Film Society at Tribeca Film Fest
My first thoughts when it comes to attending the more well known film festivals, is all about being a part of the gala celebrations, red carpets and rubbing elbows with the celebrities. Anita Reher (pictured middle) is involved with a film project called Digital Dharma – a fantastic portrait of a man’s devotion…

Philly Restaurant – Landmark Americana
It has pained me so much these last few years, because of financial constraints, not to participate in Restaurant Week and Dine Out for Life. However, this year I thought, perhaps if I give a little, I’ll get a little, or a lot! And made Dine Out for Life reservations (Thurs 4/28) at Landmark Americana /University City (3333 Market Street). The restaurant doesn’t look very crowded in this picture because I went for a late 3pm lunch. But I can imagine on the nights featuring trivia, musical bingo and open mic, accompanied by various drink specials like $3 Margaritas and $1 Miller Lites, this place is probably hoping with the…

Tinsel & Tine Fun Film & Food Fodder on Facebook
If at times it seems Tinsel & Tine hasn’t posted anything new for a couple of days, it’s often because I’ve been making quick comments about my film and/or dining experiences and linking to interesting film and food fodder on facebook. I encourage Tinsel & Tine readers to “like” the facebook page, so you don’t miss out on the tidbits that don’t require a whole post, but may be of interest or you may want to chime in! (facebook account linked to Twitter, if you prefer to follow T & T through that social network).
