    MOVIE NIGHT MENUS

    I've seen The Philadelphia Story close to a dozen times, so it's funny that I don't remember the Stingers or Uncle Willy referring to them as "a formula that's said to pop the pennies off the eyelids of dead Irishmen." But I'll be looking out for this scene next time.  Maybe I'll even try stirring up this mint and brandy concoction, although it doesn't sound like a very appealing mix.

    It's easy for me to be taken in by movies that recreate the old Hollywood film studios; where everyone was on contract, and many writers and directors had offices on the premises where they came to work everyday, even when they weren't currently doing a picture; and the guard at the gate addressed executive, director and star by name as they drove their convertibles into the lot.
