ALLEGIANT (3 of 3 Franchise) – Divergent Series Quick Breakdown

    March 20, 2016 /

By Tinsel & Tine Editor, Le Anne Lindsay I like the Divergent Series/Franchise about as much as I like the Hunger Games Series/Franchise which is basically, They aite.  It’s the strong leads – Jennifer Lawrence and Shailene Woodley which give each movie juice, along with the production designs. I haven’t read the young adult novels by Suzanne Collins or Veronica Roth, but I’m almost certain the books would give me more of what I’m craving with these stories, which is story, heart, more than just a premise. I am a sci-fi fan, not a geek, or an authority, but dystopian futures and high tech gadgetry works for me, so I’m…

    March 25, 2015 /

CANDI’S CORNER IS BACK! One of our regular blog contributors, Candace Smith moved to the Big Apple almost a year ago and has been doing her thing – writing, acting, journalism. Sweetbreads Anyone? – WARM BODIES

    February 2, 2013 /

by Le Anne Lindsay, Editor Actually, I found out sweetbreads are not sauteed brains; but rather the thymus gland or pancreas of a calve. It’s still a disgusting proposition in terms of delicacies, unless of course, you happen to be a zombi, in which case, everything is good from the toes on up. Now an interesting new zombie fact is revealed in Jonathan Levine’s (The Wackness, 50/50) creature feature Warm Bodies – and that is, by eating your victim’s brain, you get to experience their memories and for a moment, feel almost alive again! Nicholas Hoult plays a very credible and adorable zombie, who’d you’d never believe is British, and…
