Guest Reviewer: SEASALT Cape May NJ (BYOB)

    August 22, 2014 /

With so many intriguing items on the menu we quickly agreed to order different items each and to permit liberal sharing. Appetizer highlights were the raw oysters- briny and fresh and just perfect with the dry J Vineyards sparkling wine, as well as the Lobster Ravioli with brown butter, grilled asparagus and grape tomatoes- a bit too rich for the well balanced Pinot Noir from Chalk Hill but...

Best Summer Movie of 2014: GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

    July 31, 2014 /

James Gunn has done the impossible: the former Troma director has recaptured the gleeful joy of old-school summer blockbusters and packaged it for modern sensibilities. Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy is a giddy, punk rock-infused work of pop art, blissfully aware of how pulpy it is—and damn proud of it. The director caught lightning in a bottle with this film, and it’s the most fun you’ll have at the movies all summer...

“Take Back The Rom-Com” – OBVIOUS CHILD

    June 20, 2014 /

T&T Note: I did screen Obvious Child and thought, it's hard not to like a movie that features a lovable screw-up, that's unabashedly human and absurdly honest. But I also had so many posts to write this week that I was relieved when a fellow blogger asked if she could guest post and write a review on this movie...

Guest Blogger: Morgan’s Tips on Hosting an Oscar Party

    February 22, 2014 /

3/3  POST UPDATE – SOCIAL MEDIA HIGHLIGHTS 86 ACADEMY AWARDS (OSCARS 2014)   I have intentions of throwing a great Oscar party one year, not ready for that kind of planning and expense this year, but hopefully before the Oscars turn 100 🙂 For now, I prefer the relaxed fun of throwing a virtual online social media party, where everyone provides their own party food in the relative comfort of their own homes, but we can share pictures and comments back and forth during the red carpet and 86th Annual Academy Awards – hosted by Ellen DeGeneres! Check out past Tinsel & Tine Oscar Coverage- 85th Oscars / 84th Oscars…

Candi’s Corner : THAT AWKWARD MOMENT

    February 2, 2014 /

by Contributor Candace Cordelia There’s no need to strive for cool. Everyone is a nerd in some way. You may be a Game of Thrones nerd, French food nerd, American politics nerd, or Hong Kong fashion nerd. The point is that we all have or have had something that we are passionate about, something that continues to keep our motors running. Essentially, aside from the bromantic love triangle between Zac Efron, Michael B. Jordan, and Miles Teller in That Awkward Moment, the movie is all about finding your passion, or a quest to find someone to be passionate about. For instance, at one point in the movie, Zac’s character, Jason,…
