During the film industry's Awards Season every city's Film Critics Association nominates and votes on Best of films categories similar to the Oscars. Studios, PR Firms , Producers etc. actually care, they ply us with screeners and swag leading up to the vote, care about what date we hold our vote, and many followed our live announcements on Twitter. So it's kinda fun being a big deal 😁

Based on Charles Brandt’s book I Heard You Paint Houses, (screenplay Steven Zaillian) a non-fiction account detailing the life of Frank Sheeran (Robert De Niro) a soldier in WWII, who returns to his Philadelphia roots to become a truck driver, but eventually is lucky or unlucky enough to meet mob boss Russell Bufalino (Joe Pesci) who measures Sheeran up to be mob material, despite not being Italian or connected to any families.
